About
The “Healthy Minds, Bright Futures” mental health guides provide key information to young people and practitioners on adolescents and youth mental wellbeing. The young people’s guide features interactive content to help young people learn about and manage mental health challenges, including how to seek help. The guide introduces four youth characters—Khaled, Maryam, Aziz, and Salma—who guide users through different modules based on real-life experiences to address mental health issues facing young people.
The practitioner’s guide is designed for health center workers, volunteers at the social participation health committees, workers at youth centers of the Ministry of Youth, civil society institutions, and facilitators and teachers and those in direct touch with youth and adolescents, providing tools to support young people’s mental well-being. This includes Guidelines for constructive dialogues about mental health and support tools for those working with young people.
These guides are part of the joint mental health programme for young people in Jordan “Healthy Minds, Bright Futures”, which was launched by the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Health, and UNICEF.
