Trying on the path to championship

The fifth-place winner of “Children, Hopes and Dreams”, the first UNICEF Iran and Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance joint photography contest

Reza Pejhman is a 15-year-old boy from Karaj, Alborz province (west of Tehran). Reza has disability in his legs and one of his hands. But disability didn’t stop him from being an active child and he is living his life just like other children.

During the past years Reza has shown an interest in swimming and tries to be a world champion in future.

Reza is preparing himself to swim in the championship pool of the Iranian national swimming team. Since childhood, Reza’s dream has been to join the Iranian National Swimming Team of the People with Disabilities.
