UNICEF Iran

For more than 50 years, UNICEF has recognized the critical role of the private sector in achieving sustainable change for children. UNICEF defines the private sector as the general public, civil society, businesses, private foundations and other social groups that can individually or collectively contribute to positive changes in the lives of children.

Business has enormous power to improve children’s lives through the way in which they operate facilities, develop and market products, provide services, and exert influence on economic and social development.

Working with UNICEF can add value to business, by improving their image, strengthening their brand and business sustainability, supporting staff morale and stakeholder support, helping to deliver their social responsibility, and minimizing risks from their operations.

Iran’s private sector maintains a great potential to offer in terms of resources, expertise, innovations, assets, and core business to accelerate results for children. We work closely with national businesses to harness our collective strengths to help children survive, thrive and fulfil their potential.

Here are some ways to partner with UNICEF Iran to improve the lives of children:

Financial Resources

Businesses and Major Donors can provide financial support to UNICEF programmes in Iran to drive change for the most vulnerable children.

Business Practices (Child Rights and Business Principles, CRBPs)

The Children’s Rights and Business Principles (CRBP) provide a framework for businesses to respect and protect children’s rights throughout their operations. At the heart of the CRBP is the understanding that every business, regardless of size or industry, has a role to play in creating a world where all children can thrive. These principles guide companies on the full range of actions they can take in the workplace, marketplace and community to respect and support children’s rights.

Core Business Activities and Assets

Businesses can share with UNICEF main core assets like proprietary business intelligence, innovative products or services that have the potential to be instrumental to achieve programmatic outcomes for children. The expertise of the company is used to create knowledge products and solutions to UNICEF operational challenges or programme delivery.
