The Children’s Rights and Business Principles (CRBP) guide companies on the full range of actions they can take in the workplace, marketplace and community to respect and support children’s rights.

Child Rights Integration
First principle of the CRBP is the bedrock upon which the entire framework is built. It states that “all businesses should respect children’s rights and commit to supporting them.” This fundamental principle underscores the shared responsibility of businesses to uphold the human rights of children. It also encourages all businesses to go beyond respect for children’s rights to the next steps of supporting and promoting their rights.
The Workplace
The workplace is a significant touchpoint for businesses and children, especially in the regions where child labour is prevalent. The CRBP Workplace Principles contribute to the elimination of child labour, protecting young workers, their parents and caregivers, as well as the protection and safety of children.

The Marketplace
The products and services we consume have a direct impact on children's lives. The CRBP Marketplace Principles ensure that business activities, products and services as well as marketing and advertising strategies are safe for children.
The Community and the Environment
The CRBP recognises that businesses have a broader responsibility for society and the environment. The CRBP Community and the Environment principles contribute to minimising the negative environmental impact, protecting children in emergencies and disasters and finally, contributing to the communities by supporting child-friendly initiatives.
