Looking ahead

UNICEF Guinea-Bissau will leverage the opportunities that opened up for children and the expanded partnerships built in 2022 to reinforce outcomes for children in 2023. UNICEF in concert with the Government, development partners, civil society, academia, the media and children themselves, will pursue actions that allow children to survive and thrive, meet their full potential within conducive learning environments, be protected from neglect, violence and abuse within their families and communities and engage effectively as active citizens.

Building on the progress of 2022, 2023 will see a strengthening of collaboration with the rest of the UN system, the adoption of a more intentional approach with adolescents and young people and active alliance building for children. We look forward to contributing to a Guinea-Bissau fit for all children to grow with hope and possibilities.
