UNICEF Youth in Europe Bulletin

A glimpse of what UNICEF is doing with and for young people in response to the war in Ukraine.

Paloma Escudero, UNICEF Director of Global Communication and Advocacy, Marixie Mercado, UNICEF Emergency Response Team Senior Communication Adviser, Rashed Mustafa, UNICEF Refugee Response Coordinator in Poland, and other UNICEF staff members, along with volunteers for the Polish Scouts, pose for a selfie while visiting the Blue Dot centre for refugees from Ukraine at the train station in Krakow.

The Youth in Europe Bulletin focuses on the activities conducted by, with, and for young people in the response to the emergency in Ukraine and neighbouring countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Slovakia). It highlights the key results of programmes and initiatives UNICEF is carrying out with youth organizations and partners in the areas of adolescent development and participation and youth engagement in humanitarian action. The Youth in Europe Bulletin also includes stories of young people that work on the frontlines to address the needs of refugees from Ukraine.
