No child left behind: #LetsGetLearning

Working together to transform education in Europe and Central Asia

What if… every child in Europe and Central Asia has the opportunity to access quality education, starting from preschool?

Education is a basic right and a powerful tool that helps shape the future of individuals, societies, and economies.

By working together with teachers, parents, civil society, academic and private sector partners, as well as member states, UNICEF is helping to rebuild, restructure and reimagine education in Europe and Central Asia so that every child has access to inclusive quality education.

Bridging the learning gap

What if… every child has the chance to learn the skills they need to live a healthy life, and become the problem-solvers, peacemakers, effective communicators and innovators of the future?

Embracing diversity in schools and ensuring refugees and children from marginalized communities can unlock their potential in safe, inclusive learning environments is important at every educational level.

When children celebrate each other’s differences as well as their similarities, we can build a more peaceful, resilient and sustainable future for all.

All those working in education should empower and equip teachers with the training and assistive technologies they need to support children with disabilities, so that everyone has an equal chance to succeed.

Education helps children cope with adversity, heal and thrive

What if… all teachers have access to the training and resources they need to support learning for every child?

Parents and children across the Europe and Central Asia share personal stories of their most memorable experiences with teachers and how they made a positive impact on their life.

These experiences prove that an inclusive, safe learning environment not only changes lives, but helps support children’s mental health and well-being, and creates more tolerant, equal and peaceful societies.

Toolkits to help support inclusive education

Rebuilding, restructuring and reimagining education

These toolkits are designed to help preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools create more inclusive and equitable learning environments for all students. The toolkits provide resources and guidance on how to engage parents, communities, and municipalities in increasing enrollment and access to inclusive preschools; spark conversation in the classroom around diversity and discrimination; and address discrimination in schools.
