The unprecedented crisis has affected families all over the world, leaving a significant impact on children's lives and livelihoods. This challenging time requires both unprecedented solidarity and immediate actions to protect children and their families, and to help mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. In close cooperation with the Government of Republic Croatia and with the support of its partners, businesses, donors and citizens, UNICEF is leading the charge to Respond, to Recover and to Reimagine a world fit for every child.
PROTECTING HEALTH
• 100,000 protective surgical masks
• 17,000 protective gowns and coats
• 4,700 protective head covers
• 15,000 protective aprons
ensured for medical and social welfare workers
- 10 oxygenators for healthcare institutions for various respiratory problems
SUPPORT TO PARENTS
e-courses
for pregnant women, mothers and families, including marginalized communities.

CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS AND DISABILITIES
early intervention services
to receive timely and quality support and therapy when direct contact with service providers is not possible.
Sensory rooms
used as a therapy for children with developmental delays and disabilities – equipment for rooms will be provided in Croatian regions where they are not available.
Assistive communication
innovative solutions, accessible equipment, free-of-charge applications and services to ease the communication, reading and learning of children with developmental delays and disabilities.
CHILD PROTECTION
Support for child protection professionals in the welfare system to ensure adequate support services for the most vulnerable children and their families
Procuring hygiene equipment for impoverished families and children
SUPPORT FOR ADOLESCENTS AND YOUTH
A digital platform for young people to create solutions to the problems they face
Online workshops for young people to develop 21st century skills
