Highlights
Explosive weapons, particularly when they are used in populated areas, pose a deadly threat to children across the globe. Children bear no responsibility for war and yet they suffer its consequences for life, beyond the physical injuries and psychological impact.
To keep children safe from explosive weapons, UNICEF and the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise of Armenia have developed a learning resource for eighth grade students to raise their awareness of the risks and how to mitigate them. The resource provides a vital opportunity to better protect children and their families with life-saving practical information.
