About

UNICEF Afghanistan’s 2025 annual report highlights the progress made for children and families across the country, as well as the complex challenges we continue to face.

The numbers tell a powerful story of what we accomplished together, amongst them:

  • Over 20 million people, 5.6 million children, accessed primary health care services through UNICEF-supported facilities.
  • 10 million children and mothers received vital preventive nutrition services and supplies.
  • 4 million children in schools and in community-based learning initiatives and emergency settings received teaching and learning materials.
  • 2.7 million people with emergency water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services.

We would like to thank our partners and donors for their invaluable support to every achievement in 2025, as well as the people of Afghanistan, whose bravery and strength are reflected in every result described in this report.

This report is a testament to the spirit of the people of Afghanistan and the resilience of its children.
