Ha Noi, Viet Nam, 29 January 2026 – Omoda & Jaecoo today announced a three-year partnership with UNICEF Viet Nam to support Empower Futures – a joint project on inclusive and innovative education that help children and adolescents develop the skills they need to learn, thrive and transition successfully into the future workforce.

Omoda & Jaecoo is part of CHERY Group which supports the global CHERY-UNICEF partnership, including in priority countries such as Viet Nam. In October 2025, CHERY Group renewed this global education partnership with an additional US$6 million, building on its initial US$6 million commitment. Since 2023, the partnership has enabled UNICEF to reach nearly 40 million children and adolescents with access to quality education, including 17 million in emergency settings.

In Viet Nam, through this collaboration, Omoda & Jaecoo’s contribution will enable UNICEF Viet Nam to respond to persistent education challenges, including the digital divide, skills mismatches between education and the labour market needs, and growing concerns around adolescent mental health and wellbeing.

Despite Viet Nam’s strong economic growth and significant investments in education, gaps remain between learning outcomes, school-to-work transition and employability. These challenges are reflected in high youth unemployment rates, low digital skills attainment, and employers’ concerns about shortages in digital, transferable, and green skills. Persistent digital divide and limited school-to-work transition further leave many young people unprepared for a rapidly changing economy.

Through this partnership, UNICEF Viet Nam will work closely with the Ministry of Education and Training to strengthen transferable, green, digital skills, including AI literacy, for children and adolescents in Viet Nam, at all levels of education, with a particular focus on the most disadvantaged. The project aims to promote learning, well-being, support successful transitions from school to employment, and contribute to human capital development. By advancing digital transformation and responsible application of AI within the national education system, promoting well-being in digital education, enhancing employability pathways, the partnership seeks to better prepare Viet Nam’s young generation for a rapidly changing, digital and green economy.

At Omoda & Jaecoo, we believe that real progress is defined by how we invest in the next generation”, said Simon Liu, CEO of Omoda & Jaecoo Viet Nam. “As a leading innovative manufacturer advancing the application of AI and smart technologies, Omoda & Jaecoo is committed not only to providing funding, but also to contributing our expertise and innovation to help equip children and young people with future-ready skills. Through our partnership with UNICEF Viet Nam, we aim to support an education system that nurtures creativity, digital competencies and resilience, enabling the next generation to thrive and drive sustainable development in Viet Nam.”

The launch of this partnership highlights Omoda & Jaecoo’s strong commitment to social responsibility and to creating shared value by supporting inclusive growth, innovation and human capital development in Viet Nam.

We are deeply grateful for this significant contribution from Omoda & Jaecoo,” said Silvia Danailov, UNICEF Representative in Viet Nam. “Together, we will help open doors for millions of children, particularly those most at risk of being left behind. This partnership stands as a powerful example of how the private sector can lead with purpose — fostering innovation, advancing equity, and creating lasting progress for a new generation of learners and a more skilled, resilient society.”
