Meet UNICEF Deputy Representative in Viet Nam, Ms Lesley Miller

Deputy Representative Lesley Miller brings a wealth of experience to Viet Nam, having served with the organization for over 20 years in several management positions and as programme officer in the areas of adolescent health and development and child protection.
Lesley leads the UNICEF programme team in Viet Nam responsible for implementing the 2017-2021 programme of cooperation with the government focused on equity, social protection, basic services and expanded partnerships for Viet Nam’s most disadvantaged children. She also plays an instrumental role in the UN-wide efforts to implement the One Strategic Plan 2017-2021 aligned with Viet Nam’s Socio-Economic Development Plan, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the country’s international human rights commitments.
Prior to Viet Nam, Lesley worked in the UNICEF Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia where she served as Regional Advisor for Partnerships. During her career with the organization, she has worked in UNICEF offices in Serbia, Cambodia, Geneva and New York Headquarters.
Lesley is a national of the United States. She has Master’s Degrees in Public Policy and Business Administration from the University of Michigan. She is married with two children.
