Ecology, art, technology: young people offer creative solutions to environmental problems
TASHKENT, 20 June 2025 - Today, UNICEF Uzbekistan and the School21 digital technology school, with the support of Click and Huawei, LAUNCHED the two-day hackathon "Ecology, Art, Technology".
The organizing committee received more than 800 applications from all over the country. Based on the results of the selection, 100 young people aged 18-30 from all regions of Uzbekistan were invited to participate in the hackathon. Motivation, basic skills and potential for teamwork were considered during the selection. The teams are formed at the request of the participants themselves, taking into account the balance of roles and level of training.
Hackathon participants will work together to develop technological and creative solutions to environmental problems. Teams will go through key stages such as problem analysis and formulation, idea generation, prototype creation and final presentation to the jury.
Tech for Ecology direction: 70 young programmers, project managers and ecologists will work on technological solutions - from mobile applications, web services to digital tools for sustainable development.
Art for Ecology direction: 30 digital artists, motion designers, digital content creators will develop visual and multimedia projects, such as comics, animations, digital installations, rethinking the perception of the environmental agenda.
Professional mentors and facilitators will provide comprehensive support to hackathon participants throughout the event.
