“Children need our support in all the areas of their development, from actions in climate change, education and mental health, to ending discrimination and inequality”, UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan, Mohammad Fayyazi said in his opening speech, adding that, “we need to create a space, where children and young people could speak up on the issues that matter to their generation and could freely share their ideas to create a better future.”

The Conference served as a platform for partners of UNICEF and the Government of Turkmenistan, to share their views and generate ideas on the ways of joining the forces towards further enhancement of child rights observance in the country.

On this World Children’s Day, UNICEF calls for strengthening cooperation, establishing new partnerships, and amplifying joint efforts in achieving the common goal of creating a more equal, inclusive and enabling environment for the children of Turkmenistan to learn, thrive and develop.
