First UNICEF Gala Dinner in Dushanbe

Across Tajikistan, 1.8 million children aged 0-6 years begin life with the same delicate strength as silk — precious, full of promise, yet vulnerable. Global estimates show that 10% of children before the age of six face developmental challenges or risks. 

UNICEF works to address this through early childhood development screening of every child and, when risk is identified, through specialized Early Childhood Intervention. Yet current centers reach only 6,000 children under developmental risks, leaving many behind in early life opportunities. 

All funds raised during the Gala evening will be directed to the establishment of 10 centers in all regions of Tajikistan, enabling early identification, therapy, and family support, and, within one year, reaching over 1,000 young children with developmental needs.
