Highlights

  • Following the capture of Al Fasher at the end of October, over 106,000 people were displaced to surrounding localities, primarily Tawila. UNICEF scaled up interventions in North Darfur, with nine health facilities and two mobile clinics in Tawila providing essential services.
  • UNICEF reached 12.6 million people with safe water access (122 per cent of the annual target), prioritizing expansion of water facilities in urban areas most affected by displacement and waterborne disease outbreaks.
  • In November, the Inter-Agency Community Feedback Mechanism (IA CFM) recorded 27,741 individual cases and 166 collective reports, amplifying the voices of 1.2 million people across 18 states.
  • Despite critical achievements, the UNICEF Sudan appeal remains 51 per cent underfunded, jeopardizing the continuity of life-saving services and the survival and dignity of millions of children.
