UNICEF Sudan Humanitarian Situation Report: July 2026

Highlights

• UNICEF-supported health services reached 214,700 people across Sudan in July. Over three million vaccine doses were delivered through cross-border operations to hard-to-reach areas of Darfur and Kordofan. UNICEF-supported nutrition programmes screened 1.43 million children for acute malnutrition, admitted 82,300 children with SAM for treatment.
   
• UNICEF and partners provided access to safe water for 183,900 people, reached 26,300 people with hygiene promotion activities, and supported over 10,600 children and adolescents to access formal and non-formal education opportunities.
   
• Child protection services reached 167,300 children, adolescents and caregivers with mental health and psychosocial support and 118,700 with gender-based violence prevention and risk mitigation interventions.
   
• As of 31 July 2026, UNICEF had mobilized US$352.2 million against its US$962.9 million HAC appeal, leaving a 63 per cent funding gap that continues to constrain life-saving assistance.
