Delivering a climate Resilient and environmentally sustainable urban water supply system in Bor
About
The Bor Urban Water Supply Project represents a transformative investment in climate resilient and environmentally sustainable urban water services within the fragile context of South Sudan. The project delivers a solar powered conventional water treatment system that is sustainably managed by a strengthened local water utility and serves the most vulnerable populations of Jonglei State.
The intervention increased access to safe drinking water from approximately 36,000 people to 96,000 people, raising service coverage from 32 percent to 80 percent and meeting the full water demand of Bor town.
