UNICEF Serbia is once again opening its doors to all young people who want to be a voice for change and join our Youth Board for 2025-2026! This is your chance to contribute to a better future for children and youth across the country.

What can you expect as a Youth Board member? 

By becoming a part of the board, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Represent UNICEF at important events in Serbia and abroad.
  • Promote UNICEF's values and mission.
  • Participate in creating programs that benefit children and youth.
  • Advocate for the voices of young people with key decision-makers.
  • Create inspiring content for UNICEF's platforms (texts, blogs, photos, video materials).
  • Build a youth community on social media and spread positive change.

Who are we looking for? 

If you are between 15 and 24 years old and see yourself in the following, this is the right opportunity for you:

  • You are interested in mental health, the environment and climate, skill development, youth participation and non formal education;
  • You enjoy teamwork and have good communication skills;
  • You are motivated to contribute to your community;
  • You are ready to actively participate and travel for meetings;
  • You live and study in Serbia;
  • You have a basic understanding of English for communication purposes.

  • Gain deeper insight into UNICEF's work and actively contribute to its projects.
  • Participate in conferences, meetings, and workshops.
  • Develop new skills through practical work and training.
  • Connect with young people across Serbia and inspire them to take action.

Inclusion and diversity 

Particular efforts will be invested to reach and build solidarity among out-of-school working adolescents, adolescents with disabilities, adolescent girls, ethnic minority groups, adolescents affected by HIV/AIDS, married adolescents, adolescents who are caregivers or parents, adolescents who are stateless, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and/or on the move, adolescents living in alternative care, adolescents who are lesbian, gay, transgender, questioning or inter-sex (LGBTQI). 

Volunteer engagement and support 

The work on the board is voluntary, with no financial compensation. UNICEF covers travel costs within Serbia, and at the end of the term, each member receives an official certificate of appreciation for their contribution.
