Our Goals
The best start for every child
The first years shape everything that follows. UNICEF supports health and early childhood systems so that families can access timely, quality care, early support and practical, responsive guidance for parenting. Children who need support the most are at the centre of this work, so they can grow up healthy, develop well and start school ready to learn, laying the foundation for their future.
Learning that opens opportunities
Education should give children and young people the tools they need for life, not only for the classroom. In Serbia, UNICEF contributes to making learning more inclusive, more engaging and more relevant, while helping build digital skills, critical thinking and confidence. Priority is given to children who face the greatest barriers, so that every child has a fair chance to learn and succeed.
Growing up safe and supported
Children need to feel safe in order to grow, learn and thrive. UNICEF promotes stronger child protection, prevention of violence and better access to mental health support. Special attention is given to children and young people at risk, helping ensure they are protected, heard and supported when they need it.
Our Work
Programme accordion
The first years shape a child’s whole life. UNICEF focuses on strengthening the systems that support families from the very beginning, so that services for young children and parents are accessible, connected and reliable.
Learning should open real opportunities. We contribute to more inclusive and quality education, so that children and young people can build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the future.
Every child deserves to grow up safe. UNICEF works to strengthen the systems that prevent violence, protect children and ensure support is available when it is needed.
Young people are shaping the future, but they need the right opportunities to do it. Efforts supported by UNICEF focus on expanding access to skills, participation and pathways into employment.
Decisions backed by data and evidence make a real difference for children. We contribute to stronger policies and better use of public resources so that support reaches those who need it most.
Change for children doesn’t happen alone. Companies, ambassadors and individual supporters come together around UNICEF to bring resources, ideas and influence.
