30 years ago, the world pledged to protect and promote the rights of children.
The Convention on the Rights of the Child is a vision of a world in which every child has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential without discrimination, to be protected, respected and able to participate in decisions that affect his or her life.
There are many reasons to celebrate - from reduced infant mortality rates across the world to increased numbers of children who are enrolled and attend school.
At the same time, the anniversary of Convention is a reminder for us that we still have to do much more for the present and future generations of children.
If their rights are violated, the consequences are far-reaching - both for the lives of children and for the development of communities and societies.
My rights
UNICEF Serbia has created an illustrated and child-friendly version of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

UNICEF’s benefit concert
To mark the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the CRC30 Convention, UNICEF Serbia has organized a benefit concert on 13 November 2019, with the support of the City of Belgrade.
The Kolibri Choir, together with world-renowned violinists, Nemanja Radulovic and Stefan Milenkovic, performed at the concert.
All proceeds from the concert are being used to support preschool education in the Republic of Serbia.
