About
This report addresses the critical state of child sexual abuse (CSA) response system in Romania, highlighting systemic issues, areas needing reform and recommending approaches to develop and strengthen a more child-friendly approach.
The study underlying this report aimed at providing the first comprehensive analysis of the current CSA framework, by focusing on the victim’s interaction with the frontline professionals during the forensic investigation and judicial process. The study explored the perceptions and experiences of both professionals and affected children alongside their non-offending caregivers, from three regions selected to represent different levels of child-centered approach development: Bucharest, Constanta, and Vaslui.
