Local governments play a critical role in realizing children's rights. The Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit presents a comprehensive, country-led assessment of one of the Philippines' most important mechanisms for measuring and improving local government performance on children's rights and well-being. It remains a key tool for assessing how effectively local governments protect, promote, and fulfill the rights and well-being of children.

The evaluation examines nearly a decade of CFLGA implementation, reviewing how the audit has supported local government units (LGUs) in creating safer, more inclusive, and more responsive communities for children. It assesses the audit's relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability, and overall contribution to advancing child-friendly governance across the country.

Developed through consultations with government partners, local authorities, technical experts, and other stakeholders, the report provides evidence-based findings on the role of the CFLGA in strengthening accountability, and in ensuring that local policies and services respond more effectively to the needs and rights of children, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
