UNICEF Oman's Partnership with Civil Society

Working together to raise awareness about child rights

Lana HH CFA MOU
UNICEF Children First Association and UNICEF Oman renew their partnership agreement at a signing ceremony in April 2021

Since 2018, the Office has had a partnership agreement in place with Children First Association (CFA), a local non-governmental organisation. UNICEF and CFA have held a number of successful joint activities which have raised awareness about child rights in Oman. UNICEF and CRF collaborated extensively in 2019 to ensure that Oman’s Voluntary National Review (VNR) to showcase its progress towards of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)  was child friendly and child inclusive. Activities included a workshop on the SDGs for children between the ages of 8 and 14 – including those with disabilities – with the aim of  increasing  children’s understanding of the SDGs in addition to extensive digital engagement. You can see our report here for more information. UNICEF Oman renewed its agreement with CFA in early 2021.
