Highlights

Across Nigeria, children’s educational outcomes face significant challenges, including inadequate teaching quality, limited early learning opportunities, and insufficient school infrastructure. To address these issues, UNICEF, in collaboration with the Nigerian Government and international partners, developed the innovative School-Based Teacher Professional Development (STPD) Learning Lab model. This approach, designed through extensive discussions in 2022, focuses on enhancing teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes by fostering collaborative, school-based learning environments for teachers.
