Highlights
The Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) on the situation of women’s and children’s rights in Montenegro was conducted in 2025 and 2026 by the Statistical Office of Montenegro, with technical support from UNICEF Montenegro and financial support from UNICEF and the Government of Montenegro.
MICS is an internationally comparable household survey developed by UNICEF to collect reliable and comparable data on the situation of children and women. MICS data are used to inform evidence-based policies and programmes, support planning and the allocation of budget resources, and monitor progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals and other national and international commitments.
MICS has been conducted in Montenegro since 2006. The 2025–2026 survey is the sixth MICS conducted in the country and forms part of the seventh global round of MICS.
