In 2024, UNICEF Mongolia appointed “Khan Bank” CEO Mrs R. Munkhtuya as its National Ambassador. Over the past year, she has significantly boosted private sector engagement in children's causes, bringing tangible progress. This achievement was highlighted by UNICEF Mongolia Representative Mr Evariste Kouassi-Komlan during a special event organized to express gratitude to the National Ambassador.

As a result of the partnerships initiated and led by the National Ambassador R. Munkhtuya in the past year, numerous child-friendly projects and programmes have been implemented in the areas of education, health, child protection, air pollution, water, and sanitation. Through these initiatives, more than 16,000 children have directly benefited. Her advocacy efforts have also helped raise a total of 1 billion MNT (approx. USD 290,000) in funding for children’s programs.

Ambassador Munkhtuya initiated and organized a private sector meeting involving “Top-100 Enterprises,” and through UNICEF donor events and a fundraising gala, she helped raise funds for the “Teacher with Tablet” program which provided smart learning kits for children in remote rural areas.

In 2025, Ambassador R. Munkhtuya will continue supporting UNICEF’s programmes in Mongolia, focusing on digital transformation in education, the integration of artificial intelligence, protecting children’s health from air pollution, cancer prevention, and increasing access to clean water.

“This year, we plan to actively implement the ‘One Bagh, One School’ project in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and UNICEF, starting with the establishment of our first school. Additionally, we aim to launch the ‘A Cup of Milk for Every Child’ project in collaboration with dairy producers and policymakers,” said the National Ambassador R. Munkhtuya.
