“Anguuch” B. Battur appointed as UNICEF Mongolia's New Ambassador
For every child
UNICEF Mongolia has appointed “Anguuch” B. Battur, as its new Ambassador. In this role, he will support programs and activities for adolescents and young people across Mongolia.
B. Battur has been a dedicated partner of UNICEF since 2021. In 2021, he donated 50 million MNT from his Dancing with the Stars prize winnings to establish a children’s self-defense Jiu-Jitsu club at the Unur Bul Child Center, with additional support from UNICEF. The club, still operating today, has provided over 180 teenage boys and girls with physical development training and vital self-defense skills.
In 2023, he further demonstrated his commitment by participating in UNICEF’s first-ever Fundraising Gala concert, where he donated 10 Cooking, Heating and Insulation Products (CHIP) to kindergartens and families in need. Thanks to his contribution, the ger Kindergarten No. 151 in Nalaikh district was equipped with CHIP, ensuring a warm, safe, and healthy learning environment for 30 children.
“B. Battur has consistently supported UNICEF’s initiatives with unwavering generosity and a sincere dedication to children’s well-being. We deeply appreciate his partnership and look forward to achieving even greater impact together,” said Evariste Kouassi-Komlan, UNICEF Representative to Mongolia.
