"We, the children and young people of the Maldives, present these recommendations with urgency, hope and a clear expectation for action. They reflect our lived experiences, the realities facing our islands and our vision for a climate-resilient and just future. We call on national leaders, the Maldives delegation to COP31 and the international community to listen to our voices, recognise us as partners in climate action and turn these priorities into meaningful commitments.
These are our recommendations for securing a safer, fairer and more resilient future for our islands, our communities and generations to come."
