Education Sector Analysis of the Maldives

The Maldives received funding support from Global Partnership for Education (GPE) in late 2017 to (i) undertake a comprehensive Education Sector Analysis (ESA) and to (ii) develop a new Education Sector Plan (ESP) for the period 2019- 23. Based on the Guidelines of GPE, the ESA was conducted during February to May 2018. The revision and updating of the ‘ESA 2018’ was undertaken during January and February of 2019. The document presents key findings and recommendations of the revised and updated ESA.
