Jebbeh’s journey began with an unexpected pregnancy at the age of 16, which forced her to leave school while living with her aunt in Monrovia. Returning to her father’s home in Gokalah Town, she found support and love, but her dreams of education seemed distant. However, Jebbeh’s passion for learning and her commitment to her daughter, Alice, never wavered.
When Alice received all her vaccinations at the local clinic, the vaccinator noticed Jebbeh’s dedication and selected her as a “mother-to-mother peer ambassador.” This role transformed Jebbeh’s life, placing her at the forefront of her community’s health initiatives.
