Highlights

This package addresses young girls and women aged between 18–29 and complements the adolescent girl’s leadership package that was developed in 2024. This report presents the development of the package, based on a collaborative effort between UNICEF and the Lebanese American University (LAU), with the involvement of a wide network of partners and stakeholders. The package was designed in recognition of the need to support young women in Lebanon as they navigate economic hardship, social barriers, and gender inequalities that continue to limit their opportunities for leadership within the community and in professional advancement.

In this context, the work outlined in this report reflects extensive research, consultation, and validation processes. Drawing on literature reviews, stakeholder interviews, and focus group discussions with young women themselves, the package integrates both global best practices and local realities. It addresses the need to strengthen young women’s well-being, resilience, and leadership capacities while also promoting economic engagement, workplace readiness, and protection against gender-based discrimination and violence within families and communities.
