Highlights

The business sector is a key partner of UNICEF in Latin America and the Caribbean in achieving large-scale results, transforming the lives of millions of children and their families, and contributing to progress on the Sustainable Development Goals.

In 2023, UNICEF worked with more than 2,000 companies and business stakeholders in 21 of our 24 country offices in the region, strengthening existing partnerships and creating new opportunities that contributed to expanding our programmatic action in the region. The 2023 annual report Engaging business for children’s rights presents achievements, main partnerships and good practices successfully implemented in 2023, with testimonials from our partners who highlight the transformative power of collaborative work to support millions of children in Latin America and the Caribbean.

During 2024, and looking ahead to the 2030 Agenda, we call on the business sector to reaffirm its commitment to children, and act to respect and promote their rights, through collective action, investment, influence, and responsible business conduct. We invite businesses to join forces with UNICEF as a strategic opportunity to respond together to the most urgent priorities in our region and making a greater impact in the lives of children.
