Members of the most popular musical groups in Kazakhstan became the UNICEF National Ambassadors in Kazakhstan in 2023
NINETY ONE is a Kazakh music group formed in 2014. The group consists of four members: Alem (Batyrkhan Malikov), Ace (Azamat Ashmakyn), ZaQ (Dulat Mukhametkaliyev), and Bala (Daniyar Kulumshin). Since their debut, they have quickly become one of the most popular music groups in Kazakhstan , supporting a large and loyal fan base. They are more than just talented vocalists, performers, and dancers, however, they also write and compose all their own songs. Additionally, the members of NINETY ONE are dedicated advocates for children's rights. Each member was personally appointed as one of Kazakhstan’s National UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors in May 2023.
The group's music has a greater purpose – it creates songs that address important issues and promote positive values. For instance, "Bari biled" and "Why'm" tackle themes such as freedom of expression, pollution, and violence.

Thanks to our fans, we understand the needs and aspirations of adolescents and youth. Through our songs, we try to inspire them to do good deeds. We join our efforts with UNICEF to make sure that every child can realize their dreams - emphasised NINETY ONE’s Alem
As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, the members of NINETY ONE aim to support UNICEF's goal of providing children with access to healthcare, education, and protection, with a special focus on mental health awareness and online safety.
We hope to live up to UNICEF expectations to make the voices of children and youth heard when it comes to decisions affecting their lives - noted ZaQ
