Highlights
Jordan's National Social Protection Strategy (NSPS 2025 - 2033) has been developed through a widespread, nationally consultative and inclusive process with engagement of local communities, social protection beneficiaries, civil society, the private sector, academia, political parties and international development partners.
The NSPS 2025 - 2033 is an updated strategy that that builds on the foundations and key results achieved under the NSPS 2019 - 2025, in alignment with Jordan's political, public sector and economic reform pathways (2033).
The Strategy includes four main pillars: Karama (Dignity) - focused on social assistance, Tamkeen (Empowerment) - focused on social services, Fursa (Opportunity) - focused on decent work and social security, and Sumood (Resilience), which is a cross-cutting pillar focused on enhancing the shock-responsiveness of the social protection system.
The NSPS 2025 - 2033 articulates a national vision to achieve a dignified, empowered, resilient and prosperous society. Through enhanced complementarity and synergies among its four pillars, this NSPS aims to create an equitable future for every child and family through inclusive, integrated and sustainable social protection.
