Kartik has represented youth voices on global stages, including the 94th Session of the UNCRC in Geneva and the 5th Asia-Pacific Ministerial Forum in Sri Lanka. On 3 May 2024, he was appointed a UNICEF India Youth Advocate, where he continues to champion climate action, immunization, and Child Rights.
In a landmark moment, he led the first-ever children’s consultation at the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) India 2024 in Mysuru (15–18 August)—making space for children’s voices alongside youth voices in national climate discussions.
His other engagements include the DROPS Meeting (4–7 June), a message for World Environment Day (5 June), participation in the ROSA Climate Campaign Brainstorm (25 June), and the Youth Climate Conclave in Bihar (11 July).
Internationally, he represented India at the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan (11–22 November 2024). He also joined the launch of the State of the World’s Children (SOWC) Report on World Children’s Day (WCD) – 20 November 2024 at UNICEF India.
Back home, Kartik contributed to key platforms, including the National Stakeholder Consultation on Youth-Inclusive Climate Health Action (28 May), consultations with Dr Zoya Malik, Deputy Commissioner, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (2 June), and the Cybersecurity Stakeholder Meet in Lucknow (22 January). He also delivered a plenary keynote at the Regional World Health Summit (26 April 2025).
As part of UNICEF and YuWaah's endeavour to draft the Children and Young People's Statement on Safe and Inclusive AI, Kartik Verma and Prasiddhi Singh were members of the six-member Core Committee.
At the Young People’s Action Group (YPAG) Curtain Raiser event in Shillong, Meghalaya, Kartik presented the young people’s perspective on the impact of climate change on the community and on how young people can play an active role in addressing these impacts together with stakeholders.
From Bhadohi to Baku, Kartik is helping shape a generation of informed, climate-conscious changemakers, proving that young voices matter in today’s most urgent conversations.
