As we reach the last 10 days Ramadan–the most sacred nights, one million children and their families in Gaza are still tasting the bitter realities of war and displacement following the recent escalation of violence. Families are already paying a heavy price for this relentless war on their humanity, their dignity, and their children. Hunger tightens its grip, thirst becomes a constant ordeal, and their physical and mental well-being hangs by a thread.
Yet, against all odds, UNICEF teams remain on the ground, delivering water, cash assistance, life-saving therapeutic food, winter clothing, and other essentials to those struggling to survive.
During these sacred nights, let your generosity be their light.
Be The Light for Families in Gaza
“We didn’t feel the spirit of Ramadan because of the war.” — Mohammed, a father of three from Gaza.
For families like Mohammed’s, this Ramadan carries an unbearable weight. They are displaced, unable to break their fast properly, cook their meals, or find a safe place to sleep. Clean water is scarce, and every moment is shadowed by the threat of death. “Basic necessities are no longer available. Everything is unimaginably expensive,” he adds. UNICEF teams in Gaza are working tirelessly to provide Mohammad and his family with the basic essentials. But this is not enough!
On the Night of Power, let your blessings reach those facing these hardships. Your Sadaqah today can bring relief, not just to Mohammed’s family but to millions struggling in Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and other war-torn regions.
