CAIRO, Egypt, 24 August 2026 — UNICEF Egypt today announced that Actress Lina Sophia has joined as its new Youth Advocate, bringing a genuine and growing voice among young people in Egypt.

As Youth Advocate, Lina Sophia will volunteer her time to work alongside UNICEF Egypt, using her voice and social media platforms to amplify the voices of children and young people and to engage with them. "We are delighted to welcome Lina Sophia to UNICEF Egypt," said Natalia Winder Rossi, UNICEF Representative in Egypt. "Young people are at the heart of our work, and Lina speaks to her generation as one of them. Her voice will help us reach even more young people on the issues that shape their lives.”

"I've always loved supporting the causes closest to my heart, and today I feel incredibly proud to have joined UNICEF as an advocate for children and young people — to have my voice be a way of standing up for their rights. I hope I can live up to this responsibility and this trust," said Lina Sophia.
