Transforming behaviors in favor of a life without violence requires changing mindsets, beliefs, norms and behaviors that naturalize the use of violence as part of parenting styles, educational practices and ways of relating to others. UNICEF Cuba takes on the challenge of addressing this problem through the campaign Mídete (Measure yourself!) to prevent violence against children and adolescents.
If you are a mother, father or person in charge of the care of children and adolescents; if you are a teacher and want your students to relate and grow up without violence, #Mídete is a campaign designed for you. It provides you with resources and texts that promote respectful education and parenting, to educate, love and live together without violence.
If you are an adolescent #Mídete invites you to wear a non-violent size in all the spaces where you interact, even in the virtual world. If you contribute to preventing and addressing violence against children and adolescents, either from a professional approach or in your community, you can count on #Mídete to question myths, traditions and practices that limit the right of every child to live free of violence.
