Addressing impact on children is integral to sustainability and responsible business conduct. However, children are insufficiently visible in the design and implementation of business standards, policies and practices, and even less heard. When businesses fail to identify their salient impacts, the result is children continuing to experience abuses. Leaving children invisible means risking leaving out 30% of the world’s population. To address this gap, UNICEF is working with businesses, governments and research institutions on the following areas of work:
