PHNOM PENH, 26 January 2026 – UNICEF released a music video as a meaningful tribute to the International Day of Education promoting child rights in Cambodia through culture. Produced in collaboration with arts organization PlerngKob and featuring popular artists KESORRR and ROXY, the song, titled “Together for Every Child”, is an uplifting anthem calling for education for all, protecting children, listening to their needs, and amplifying their voices.

The song “Together for Every Child” celebrates childhood energy and resilience, and the lyrics encourage children to dream big and pursue their education while urging adults to care for children and end violence and discrimination. The music video features vibrant scenes of children expressing joy, creativity, and togetherness, reinforcing UNICEF’s message that every child deserves to feel safe, included, and supported, especially during times of crisis.

“With this song, we want to give children and youth hope for the future, whatever struggles they may be going through, and to let them know that we hear them, that their voices matter, and that their dreams deserve to be heard,” said Dr. Will Parks, UNICEF Cambodia Representative. “And for parents, caregivers, and all adults across the country, we hope the song inspires them to listen, and to understand that we all have a role to play in empowering children and nurturing their potential. As we mark the International Day of Education, let us stand together and take action to uphold every child’s rights.”

While Cambodia has made significant progress in advancing child rights in recent years, children still face a range of challenges that prevent them from growing up healthy, safe, learning, and empowered. Out of three million school-aged children in the country, 300,000 children and adolescents were out of school in 2023[1], and almost two thirds (61 per cent) of primary aged children with a disability were out of school in 2024[2]. Two thirds (66 per cent) of children aged 1–14 have experienced violent discipline[3]. Children and young people in Cambodia are also increasingly burdened by the impacts of growing and unprecedented challenges like climate change, online safety, conflict, and displacement, including those impacted by the recent border crisis, which left thousands of children uprooted and at risk.

Best known as the lead vocalist and a co-founder of the BonnPhum arts festival, KESORRR has long been a powerful advocate for original Cambodian music and youth culture. “So many children in Cambodia, especially those displaced or separated from their families during the border crisis, are facing uncertainty and fear. When I recorded this song, I wanted every child to feel protected, supported, and never alone. Every child deserves safety, education, and a chance to dream, no matter where they come from or what challenges they face,” she said.

ROXY, a breakout female rapper who rose to fame on The Rapper Cambodia for her emotional storytelling and bold lyrical style, added, “I participated in this song and music video because children who have been uprooted or affected by the border crisis need to know that the country stands with them. Music can remind them that they matter, that their futures are worth fighting for, and that their rights to learn, to feel safe, and to grow must always come first. I hope this song gives every child the courage to believe in a brighter tomorrow.”

“We are deeply grateful to KESORRR and ROXY for using their music to champion child rights. Through their commitment and creativity, they touch hearts and minds, inspire children and youth, and help build momentum for the cause of child rights,“ added Dr. Will Parks.
