Ms Rana Flowers took up the position of UNICEF Representative to Bangladesh and assumed her duties on August 5, 2024.

A national of Australia, Ms Flowers brings more than 35 years of experience in international development, child development, and policy advocacy.

Prior to this appointment, Ms. Flowers served as UNICEF Representative in Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Mongolia, and Belize.

Before joining UNICEF, Ms Flowers worked in child development and policy advocacy in Australia and the United Kingdom.

She has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and Bachelor’s degrees in both Social Work and Arts, majoring in Psychology.

Ms Flowers is married and has four children.
