Parents Meeting TV Show. Follow our season 5

UNICEF and Armenian Public Television once again invite all mothers, fathers, grandmas and grandpas to the Parents Meeting to discuss children’s mental and physical health.

Հայրիկն ու մայրիկը խաղում են երեխայի հետ:

In Armenia, an average of 98 babies are born each day: 98 new beginnings, 98 families where everything can change in an instant.

With the birth of their child, mothers and fathers are also “born,” taking on this most important role in life. Parenting brings endless questions - every day, at every stage of development. On one hand, some questions don’t have a single correct answer, on the other hand, parents often face these alone.

  • How do you provide a good start for your child?
  • How do you ensure proper care, understanding, and support?
  • How do you raise a child in a world that changes every day?

To help answer these important questions and support parents in doing the most important job, UNICEF and Public Television have jointly created the Parenting Assembly TV programme.

In its fifth season, we continue addressing the questions parents ask every day, from pregnancy to adolescence: education and artificial intelligence, dangers of the digital world and protection mechanisms, nutritional challenges and healthy eating, orthopedic and other health issues.

This is a platform where parenting is not presented as a perfect story. Here we talk about real life - doubts, difficulties, and choices. And most importantly, together with specialists, we try to find solutions and offer competent response mechanisms.

From April to June 2026 watch Parenting Assembly every Friday at 18:20 on Public Television!

Preterm birth

Preterm birth can be a sudden and distressing experience for many parents. It raises numerous questions, fears, and sometimes misconceptions.

In this episode of “Parents’ Meeting,” together with parents and experts, we explore what preterm birth really is, why it happens, and how parents can respond in an informed and confident way if they find themselves in such a situation.

Potty training

Every stage of a child’s growth — from the first tooth to the first word — is a long-awaited milestone for parents. Yet there is one phase that often becomes a source of stress: the transition away from diapers and potty training does not always go smoothly or calmly. In this episode of “Parents’ Meeting,” we explore the most informed and effective approaches to navigating this stage.

Pregnancy planning

Pregnancy is one of life’s most important stages. This episode of “Parents’ Meeting” aims to show that pregnancy planning is not unnecessary caution, but a thoughtful decision that can make a real difference to the health of both the mother and the future child.

Many parents seek medical advice only after learning they are expecting. There is also a common belief that if the first pregnancy went smoothly, there is no need for check-ups before the second. In reality, every pregnancy is different, and preparing in advance can help prevent complications later on.

Parasitic infections

When a child has stomach pain, seems unwell, feels tired, or becomes unusually restless, many parents are quick to assume the cause is worms or a parasitic infection. At the same time, these infections are sometimes dismissed as a minor issue that will go away on its own. In reality, both reactions can be misleading.

In this episode of “Parents’ Meeting,” together with parents and experts, we explore what parasitic infections really are, when to seek medical advice, and what to do — and avoid doing — when they affect a child.

Education and AI

Artificial intelligence has already become part of children’s everyday lives. They use it to search for information, complete homework, get explanations, and learn new skills.

At the same time, this shift raises important questions for parents and teachers. Does it support learning, or does it weaken critical thinking? Is it safe? And what role should adults play in guiding children through this new reality?

This episode of Parents’ Meeting is dedicated to exploring these questions.

Understanding orthopedic issues in children

Any change in a child can become a concern for parents—whether it’s the way they walk, their posture, the position of their feet, or recurring pain that becomes noticeable in everyday life.

But do these signs always point to a problem? Are orthopedic issues really that common, and do they always require treatment?

In this episode of Parents’ Meeting, together with specialists and parents, we explore where the line lies between what is normal and what may require attention.
