Male՛na (Arpine Martoyan) is the winner of the "Junior Eurovision 2021" song contest. It is thank to her that Yerevan is going to be the host city of Junior Eurovision 2022!
She represented Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris with the song “Qami Qami.” The song was much loved in Armenia and beyond and as of now, has 12 million views on YouTube!
Arpine Martoyan was born on 10 January, 2007 and grew up in a musicians’ family. Her grandfather is a clarinetist and plays in the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
Maléna first represented Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018, placing 8th in the semi-final.
She spends a lot of time in the studio, experimenting with different music genres.
Maléna is inspired by Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, who has launched a global climate movement, challenging world leaders to take immediate action against climate change.
Maléna also joined the young people, calling them to speak out for climate change issues and possible solutions.
"It’s our time, it’s our future. Our voice must be heard and taken into account in the decisions that affect us. We need to speak up about the issues that concern us, fearlessly talk about climate change, mental health and more, and we need to contribute to solving those issues ourselves."
