From University Graduate to Employment Office Specialist
How Youth Guarantee helped Artiola build her career
Artiola Kraja, 23, from Dobraç (Administrative Unit Rrethina, Shkodër), completed her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Like many young graduates, she faced uncertainty about how to transition from university to employment and was looking for opportunities to gain practical experience.
Artiola first learned about the Youth Guarantee while attending a job fair organised at the University of Shkodra, where representatives from the Employment Office presented available services and opportunities for young people. After learning more about the programme, she decided to register and explore the support available through the Youth Guarantee.
Through the programme, Artiola was offered a professional internship opportunity at the Regional Employment Office in Shkodra, where she gained valuable practical experience and strengthened her professional skills. The internship helped her better understand labor market services, develop confidence in the workplace, and apply the knowledge acquired during her studies.
Following the successful completion of her internship, Artiola secured employment as an Employment Services Specialist, transforming what began as a learning opportunity into a professional career.
"The Youth Guarantee gave me the opportunity to gain practical experience and enter the labour market. The internship helped me build confidence and develop the skills needed for employment."
Thanks to the European Union's investment in the Youth Guarantee, Artiola's journey shows how targeted employment support and practical workplace experience can help young graduates successfully transition from education to employment and build sustainable careers.
