Highlights

“Programming for children’s protection online: A trilogy of promising practices” outlines core achievements and lessons learnt of #iamsafeonline flagship program (2017-2020) implementation by UNICEF Albania.

The trilogy serves the purpose to accumulate knowledge and share experiences of working for children’s protection from online harm and abuse. Besides overall program assessment, the two specific publications are dedicated to initiatives that have worked in the Albanian context and that have the potential to become scalable. They shed light on how UNICEF managed to open up new programming avenues with non-traditional partners like the ICT industry, Cybercrime Unit at the Albanian State Police, in close collaboration with the local governments. The trilogy is structured as below:

  • Part 1: Programming for children’s protection online: #iamsafeonline programme (2017 – 2020)
  • Part 2: How non-traditional partners joined forces to become champions for child online safety
  • Part 3: The breakthrough moment with law enforcement for investigation of online crimes against children
