Even if the Internet is expensive or unreliable or can only be accessed through shared devices or community provision, children are always finding ways to stay connected. As a result, the Internet has become a tool that, alongside all the benefits it brings, poses challenges to privacy and safety. Therefore, our task is to amplify the benefits of the Internet while minimizing the risks it may pose.
“One Click Away” Children’s experience of Internet use in Albania, presents scientific evidence on how children use the Internet, what they are learning, the opportunities and risks they face and what parents know and don’t know about their children’s virtual reality.
1,000 children and 1,000 parents/care givers participated in this research across Albania. Its methodology is aligned with the Global Kids Online framework and as such contributing to the global evidence generation on children’s online experiences.
