Reports: From Cash Transfers to Sustainable Livelihoods in Zambia

Research examining how beneficiaries transform small cash transfers into sustainable livelihoods through savings, investment and diversified income sources

Highlights

These series of studies generate evidence on the Social Cash Transfer Programme. Evidence includes impact pathways of high performing cash transfer beneficiaries, impact of the 2023/24 drought on gender and nutrition sensitive 1000 days households, and female-headed households on the SCT. These studies were implemented by UNICEF Zambia and the Government of Zambia, with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC), and Irish Aid.
