About

In response to the scale of the refugee crisis from Sudan in eastern Chad, the German Cooperation provided financial support to UNICEF and WFP in 2024 to support a shift from emergency relief towards a more sustainable, resilience-oriented approach, aligned with the Humanitarian–Development–Peace (HDP) nexus.

This case study takes a closer look at how the HDP Nexus is being operationalized in Eastern Chad.
