GENERAL INFORMATION
The running race “Relaying disaster risk reduction and climate actions – For a safe, green and clean Viet Nam for every child” is part of the series of activities of the "Early Action Together" campaign co-organized by the Viet Nam Disaster Management Authority and UNICEF Viet Nam.

The event features two age categories and distances: a 3km race for children aged 6-16 years accompanied by guardians and a 15km race open to runners over 16 years of age.
RUNNING DISTANCE
- Distance 3km (walking/jogging): The participant completes one lap of 3 km, one first-leg and one second-leg respectively – each 1.5km long.
Note: The 3km distance is for participants aged 6-16 years old. Participating athletes may run or walk and must be accompanied by guardians
- Distance 15km (Professional running): The athlete completes five laps of 3km, running five first-legs and five second-legs, each 1.5km long.
Note: The 15km distance is for athletes over 16 years old.
- All runners participating in the race must agree and sign the Release of Liability Form HERE. Athletes will receive this Form when receiving the Race Kit from the Organizing Committee.
PRIZES
- Distance 15km: Prizes for the Top 4 female athletes and Top 4 male athletes with the best results
○ 02 First Prizes: Each prize is worth VND 2,500,000 and the First Prize Certificate
○ 02 Second Prizes: Each prize is worth VND 2,000,000 and the Second Prize Certificate.
○ 02 Third Prizes: Each prize is worth VND 1,500,000 and the Third Prize Certificate.
○ 02 Consolation Prizes: Each prize is worth VND 500,000 and the Consolation Prize Certificate.
● Distance 3km: Prizes for Top athletes with the best achievements:
○ 01 First Prize: The prize is worth VND 1,500,000 and the First Prize Certificate.
○ 01 Second Prize: The prize is worth VND 1,000,000 and the Second Prize Certificate.
○ 03 Third Prizes: Each prize is worth VND 500,000 and the Third Prize Certificate.
Evaluation criteria: Complete the running distance in the shortest time.
RACE KIT & SIZE TABLE OF SHIRT
The race Kit for each distance includes 01 T-shirt and 01 identification number (BIB). Race Kit Receiving Information:
- Time: From December 08, 2022, to December 09, 2022.
- Location: Da Nang
- When picking up the race kit, the athlete must present:
- Email of the Successful Registration Confirmation from the Organizing Committee
- Athlete's ID/Passport according to race registration information (Hardcopy, Copy, or Photo).
(ID/Passport of a legal guardian in case of an athlete under 14 years old).
Note: All runners participating in the race must agree and sign the Release of Liability Form. Athletes will receive this Form when receiving the Race Kit from the Organizing Committee.

SENDING/RECEIVING PERSONAL PROPERTY INFORMATION
- The counter will be available from 04:45 am to 12:30 am on December 10, 2022, at the check-in area of the event.
- The sender will need a bracelet with the number of the sent bag in order to receive the bag containing personal items sent to the Organizing Committee.
- Please DO NOT leave valuables on the counter and stay alert to avoid theft.
- Although staff are available at the counter, the Organizing Committee will not be responsible for any loss, misplacement, or damage of items deposited at the counter.
RULES
1. PARTICIPANTS
Participants must be able to complete the track, from the start line to the finish line.
Participants must meet the age requirements corresponding to the registered distances:
- All athletes participating in the 15km distance must be over 16 years old in 2022.
- All athletes participating in the 3km distance must be 6-16 years old in 2022.
- All runners must agree and sign the Release of Liability Form. The Organizing Committee has the right to refuse any athletes who have not completed the Release of Liability Form
- Each participant must sign the Release of Liability Form upon receipt of the Race Kit, which is part of the registration process.
- The BIB number is unique to each participant and cannot be changed or sold to others.
- Buying and selling tickets to attend/BIB is strictly prohibited.
2. RUNNING DAY
- Participants must follow the instructions provided by the Organizing Committee including race staff, volunteers, paramedics, security personnel and city officials for the duration of the event.
- During the event, the Organizing Committee expects all participants to behave politely and professionally. Anyone who violates this code of conduct will be disqualified from the event and asked to leave the track.
- Information on the athlete's BIB must be complete and accurate. Athletes must attach their competition identification number to the front of their clothes. Athletes who do not wear a running shirt and have their race identification number on their shirt will be removed from the track by security or race monitoring personnel.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to use photos, videos, or other forms of recording (including recording images of athletes at the event) for communication purposes. Participating athletes have agreed to confirm this term in the Release of Liability Form of the race.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to restrict or refuse anyone to participate in this event.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel or change the time/location of the running at any time due to force majeure events, such as inclement weather, without prior notice to the participants. In the case of event cancellation, the Organizing Committee will make every effort to notify registered participants prior to the event date.
3. SAFETY FOR PARTICIPANTS
- The use of wheeled mobility devices by participants or other authorized persons will be extremely limited: (a) athletes with disabilities using wheelchairs, crutches, (b) racetrack referee on a bicycle and (c) baby carriages, skateboards, skates, bicycles, or any vehicle with wheels are not allowed on the track.
- Participants are responsible for learning about instructions and symbols related to maps, places, and guiding directions.
- The event's authorized paramedics may check any athlete for signs of illness. If in the sole opinion of the paramedics, it is in the best interest of the participant's health and interests, the paramedics shall have the right to remove the athlete from the event.
- Participants must stop their participation at the request of event staff, paramedics, or government authorities.
- Participants are responsible and liable for all, and any medical charges incurred as a result of training and/or participation in the event, including ambulance transportation, the period of hospitalization, doctors, pharmaceutical products and services.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to postpone, cancel or reschedule the running depending on the weather emergency.
- All athletes must comply with the provisions of COVID-19 prevention regulations at the event.
4. RULES FOR ATHLETES
- Participants’ shirt sizes cannot be changed after a successful registration. Participants need to carefully check the size table before choosing their size.
- All runners who complete their running in the selected distance will be awarded a souvenir medal after finishing the running.
- Souvenir medals after completing the race will be awarded at the event. Any issues that arise after that will not be resolved.
